We continue to be shocked and saddened by the loss of life that has resulted from Cyclone Nargis that hit Burma on 3rd May and the 7.9 earthquake that hit South Western Sichuan Province in China on 12th May.

Our XL Management Team in China is currently reaching out to their connections in Sichuan in the medical profession to identify the resources required and a further communication on how we can most effectively help will follow once we have this information.

The situation in Burma is more complicated due, in part, to the lack of communications within Burma and aid being distributed via the military, and also in part to XL not having an established network in Burma.

Please let us know if you, our Members or your extended network have any contacts in Burma that we are able to communicate with to get a clearer picture of what is required and how best to get this to the people in need.
